Workshops and Educational Resources

Educational Outreach

An important part of the Smoky Hills Public Television is our effort to help children succeed in school.  Not only do we broadcast the best quality and most educational programs on television for kids, but we strive to engage and inspire children to be ready and eager to learn.

Over the years, we have educated parents, daycare providers, teachers and children on a variety of topics that expand and enrich their lives. We have provided literacy and child development workshops for low income and English as a second language families. We have visited preschools and elementary classrooms throughout Central and Western Kansas and provided thousands of free books and learning materials to students whose families cannot afford them.

As part of the PBS network, we offer a wide range of entertaining and educational programs for children and outstanding resources for families, educators and childcare providers.
